Ahead of South Korean President Moon Jae-in’s visit to the White House in May, CARE along with three other U.S.-based advocacy organizations for Comfort Women, delivered a letter to U.S. President Biden through Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) about pressing Japan to accept and assume unequivocal legal responsibility for Comfort Women.

During President Moon’s visit, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also expressed her support for Comfort Women [http://english.hani.co.kr/arti/english_edition/e_international/996421.html].

The three organizations were Comfort Women Justice Coalition (CWJC), the Atlanta Comfort Women Memorial Task Force (ACWMTF), and Washington Coalition for Comfort Women Issues, Inc. (WCCW).
